personality
Like most leaders, Fawnstar is a very brave cat. She is always willing to put her clan first and do whatever is necessary to resolve whatever is going on. She is not blinded by peace and wanting everything to work out naturally, and knows that quarrels will occur, though she would much prefer them not to involve blood shed. Continuing on with that said, Fawnstar absolutely hates sending her clan into battle. No, she is not cowardice, but she does know that many cats can and will be injured, possibly even killed. Her bravery comes from another standard, as she doesn't want to lose her clan mates in a battle that might have been able to have been talked around.
No matter where she is put, Fawnstar is confident in her standing as leader, and confident in her clan itself. She knows her clan is strong as well as smart, and is not the slightest bit worried about how they will react if they are thrown into some kind of surprise. Fawnstar is a very flexible leader, and adapts quickly. Because of this, she is even more confident in her clans well-being because of her ability to be prepared and flexible. Even though she is the leader of a clan, she carries her own bit of resentment around with her. She hates when others make decisions and often won't be good at sharing her stage on top of her clan. In her opinion, she was made leader for the sake of leading, and doesn't exactly like to share that power.
All in all, Fawnstar is a level-minded cat. Basically, this means that she optimistic about things and able to keep a calm head in almost all situations. She is very mature in many standings, and is more than willing to try and talk around a violent encounter. While she may be resentful of others decisions towards her, she is willing to negotiate with her clan rather than run it like some kind of dictatorship. And finally, Fawnstar is still very naive. She is still new to leading a clan and doesn't have as many experiences or training in the position that she should have gotten. It isn't really that she is blind or has no wisdom or strong judgement, but she could have been much more prepared for where she now stands.

background
Fawn-kit wasn't an only kit. In fact, she was one in a litter of four. She was born in the heart of new-leaf, in the prime of rain-clan. She had three older brothers and was the runt of her litter. Her gray-tabby brother was called Ash-kit, and the other to brown tabby toms were called Thrush-kit and Oak-kit. From the moment she was born, Fawn-kit would live up to her name. Deer in general are very flighty, but what about a fawn? They are timid, unsure, and definitely ready to bolt at any kind of danger lurking around them. Fawn-kit was just like this. She was glued to her mothers belly and would shy away from the games her brothers wanted to play. While they would enjoy a game of hunt-down-the-moss-ball, Fawn-kit would sit aside and watch alongside her mother who would usually work the kinks out of the she cat's long fur. Most of her kit-hood would be like this. She wasn't brave at this point, and no one would have imagined where this shy little she cat would end up in a matter of moons.
Apprentice day finally came, and the four kits couldn't be more excited. Fawnpaw was still an anxious little thing, locked in a bubble that no-one could see her coming out of any time soon. Because of this, she became the current deputy - Larksong's apprentice. Larksong was a very patient, yet noble she cat. While she remained a calm background, she was able to pass on her courage and calm-nature down to her apprentice, and Fawnpaw was the perfect fit. As she grew alongside her mentor, the young she cat began to learn that the world wasn't such a scary place, and that she missed so much when she was locked down inside her nursery. So, around the age of seven moons, she really opened up to the world. With her petite size and extra large tail for balance, she made an amazing tree hunter. She was able to race up the trunk and then balance better than most cats, becoming the main hunter who would bring in thrush's and squirrels. It wasn't long before her name was a small royalty within her clan-mates. By the time she was about 13 moons, the she cat had mastered her hunting skills, but still lacked in fighting. But, she was more than ready to earn her warrior name.
Once again, the four siblings stood side by side, pelts neatly groomed and eyes shining. Her siblings went first, earning their warrior names: Ash-heart, Thrushleap, and Oakpelt. And she would earn the name Fawntail. The newly made warriors sat by the clan entrance with their tails and fur touching as they were rewarded their names and the honor of their clan. Fawntail had become one of the most popular cats in the clan by the time she was only 25 moons. She was the dedicated leader of hunting patrols and was nearly always successful. Her level-headed nature and bravery when it came to trouble made her a good go-to cat when the others needed advice or a strategy. All in all, her social traits and ability to empathize with the other cats made her all around royalty to her clan. Therefore when her former mentor, Larksong, was sent to star-clan due to a fox attack, Fawntail was called to the rank at the small age of 32 moons. But, with maturity that rank for miles, she was more than willing - and ready - for the position.
Being deputy was a blessing for the young she cat. She was proud of where she stood and assisted her leader in events as simple as where to hunt, to even more dramatic features such as how to deal with trespassers. In her time of being deputy, she taught her clan - and her leader as well, that if a war can be avoided by talking rather than shedding blood, so be it. But, mainly, she showed that they were a family and that they had to look out for each other, no matter what. There was no room for divided loyalties in rain-clan.
Currently, Fawnstar has only been leader for about two moons, and is working toward her clans well being every step of the way. With her ever-growing bravery and wisdom, the sky is the limit for the clan she calls home.
