briar - for his brown tabby coat, resembling the thorns on various plants
claw - for his excellent fighting ability
briarclaw is a large, thick furred golden-brown tabby. he is chubby, along with muscular; his presence is intimidating. he has a bushy tail and stocky legs, filled with power and strength. briarclaws left ear has a notch taken out at the tip.
personality
briarclaw sticks to himself the majority of the time. he is bad at reading social clues, thinking of what to say, and generally, starts to feel uncomfortable in large groups. he gets frustrated with himself easily, usually in social situations, and can turn grumpy and irritable due to his inability to communicate as well as he'd like. he can be known to stutter over his words the more he gets flustered and frustrated with himself.
briarclaw would always choose fighting over words if he could. he finds comfort in the one thing he's good at; fighting, using his claws. not using words. he's quick to anger. briarclaw is determinded to win, to be useful. to bring back prey or chase off that enemy.

briarkit was the only one from his litter that made it. it was a harsh leafbare, and it's lucky anyone survived. from the start he was a fighter, a strong kit.
