appearance
Ivypaw certainly took her appearance from the paternal side of her genes. She is nearly the spitting image of the Tom who fathered her, except for her eyes. Her eyes take after her mother, a beautiful dark gold. Her body is long and lean, with short black and white patched fur. She has long white whiskers and a little pink nose, and she has found her claws to be prone to breaking.
personality
Ivypaw is very friendly and loves to be around other cats, but her shyness sometimes over comes this trait. She likes to laugh and make others laugh, but often finds herself quietly hiding in the shadows instead. When she's feeling shy, she can be quite clumsy, and her embarrassment only makes things worse. When she's feeling this way, she begins to repeat, "I'm sorry!" much too often. She has some small abandonment issues, and fears that she will annoy or do something to her friends to make them leave her. This, too, leads her to apologizing much too often. Still, she is glad that she is finally an apprentice, and looks forward to learning everything she can from her mentor.

Ivypaw was born in a litter of two, with a brother. Their mother died giving birth to them, and they were raised by a tender she-cat named Crowpetal, who fortunately was there nursing her own kits at the time. They were named by this same she-cat, as there father decided he wanted no part of their lives. Ivypaw has always wondered if their biological father blamed them for their mother's death, and that was why he chose to ignore them. But how could that be, since everyone says that Spottednose and Owlpelt were never in love in the first place? She decided to take his behavior as a clue and avoid him when possible, and never getting friendly with him. She and her brother had a strained relationship due to these family issues, and as their kithood went on she found herself growing apart from the only other family member she had left.
