appearance
Dawn is a very petite cat. She is your average calico, basically. Her chest, belly, and the entire bottom half of her body is white. On her back, moving from the space where her neck meets back, is a large patch of color. These colors involve a base of ginger and then series of black spots in random places, all varying in size. Her face by her eyes is pretty much a perfect split down the middle with color. The left side of her face is all black and the right a patch of ginger with a few black spotting. Her forehead and ears, also curling down around her cheekbone is an ashy black with some white tints. And starting between her eyes at the base of her forehead is a white strike that runs all the way down her face. And finally, her chin has a tiny black spot on it.
personality
For the most part, Dawn is a very intelligent cat. Her knowledge of herbal remedies and patience when it comes to healing is one of the main things that gives this intelligence off. However, because she feels so close with starclan, she is wise beyond her years and is more than willing to pass that on to her clan mates. Though, due to her small size, she is incapable of using brute force and flat out strength to overcome her enemies. Instead, she must use her stealth and small frame in order to do so.
Aside from the fact that Dawn knows she is smart when it comes to herbs, she is insecure in everything else. When it comes to fighting, hunting, or social bonds with other cats, she is anxious of how she appears. She doesn't yet realize how important she truly is to the others around her, and it's possible she never will. However, due to being a medicine cat and working with members of the clan on a daily basis, Dawn is super patient. She is good at finding ways to coax others to calm down and work with her. And because of that, she needs this patience she has so well developed.
Like most cats, Dawn is super friendly and compassionate, not just to her clan mates, but all cats. Because she is a medicine cat, her bonds with other cats including other clan cats is very important. And she holds onto this compassion as tough her life depends on it. And finally, Dawn is very protective of the ones she considers dear to her, including all members of her clan. Though, in most cases, she appears a little too protective and can get a little bit out of line on some occasions. But, she does this believing it is for the greater good of everyone around her.

When she was born Dawnkit wanted to be just like any other cat in the clan - a warrior. She would practice fighting constantly with her brother Sagekit and the two would tussle and play around. Using wads of old moss to practice their hunting techniques, it was quite obvious that Dawnkit was going to make an outstanding hunter. However, when she was about 5 moons old and allowed to wander in the camp on nicer days, she found her true love with the medicine cat. Something about the way her knowledge kept flowing and the beautiful scent of herbs, it was love at first sight for the young kit. And ever since then, it was almost impossible to get her away.
It was no surprise when she became apprenticed, that the leader announced that she would become the apprentice of Leafdapple - the current medicine cat. Her heart swelled with more pride than she could handle at the thought of being chosen by starclan to walk beside the medicine cats. And the proud gaze of her mother and father was all she needed to continue into the career she already loved so much. When she finally began her training, it was surprisingly difficult at first. It wasn't that she thought it was going to be easy, but she didn't expect it to be as challenging as it was. But, she learned quick, and meeting the other medicine cats and apprentices was a big jump for the young apprentice. She just loved it!
When she was around 19 moons, she received her full name was Dawncloud. Even though she had her full name, she was still technically an apprentice to Leafdapple. But, she wasn't ashamed or jealous of her brother Sagestep, instead she was more proud of the relationship she shared with her mentor. It wouldn't be until she was 27 moons old that Leafdapple would join starclan due to a bout of green-cough they couldn't get out of her system. Not many other cats were lost. But, as the full medicine cat of Sunclan, she was anxious. All though, she was sure with time, she would become more comfortable and confident. And she was most definitely right.
